Welcome to the website of the Bedfordshire Band of the Royal British Legion (RBL).

About us

The RBL Bedfordshire Band is a wind band, formed in September 2017 as the RBL Buckinghamshire Band. We relocated to Leighton Buzzard in early 2024, shortly after we became “The Bedfordshire Band”

With effect from the beginning of October 2025. We will rehearse every Tuesday evening from 7.30 to 9.30pm in All Saints Church, Church Square, Leighton Buzzard.

Our members are drawn from The Royal Navy, The British Army, The Royal Air Force, Royal Artillery, The Honourable Artillery Company, and various Non-Service backgrounds. However, we all have one thing in common; the joy of coming together and playing music.

Our primary role is to provide music for service occasions such as Remembrance and Armed Forces Day, whilst supporting Civic, Community and Charity events across the county of Bedfordshire and further afield if required.

Our Band President is Mr Stuart Clarke; chairman of the Leighton Buzzard branch of the Royal British Legion.
