About
Welcome to a Magical Christmas Experience with The Bedfordshire Band of the Royal British Legion…….
❄️The Bedfordshire Band of the Royal British Legion is delighted to present “The Snowman” at All Saints Church, Leighton Buzzard, on Saturday 5 December 2026. This year, due to popular demand, we are thrilled to offer two performances – the first at 4pm, followed by a second showing at 6pm.
Join us as we bring Raymond Briggs’s timeless story to life. Enjoy the classic 1982 animated film accompanied by live music from our Wind Band, to begin your December in true seasonal spirit. Based on Briggs’s beloved 1978 picture book, The Snowman has charmed audiences for generations. Directed by Dianne Jackson and scored by Howard Blake, the film is told entirely through pictures, action and music, with the iconic song “Walking in the Air” at its heart. The original orchestral score was performed by the Sinfonia of London, with vocals by Peter Auty – though many will fondly remember Aled Jones’s later version.
We are proud to share our own performance of this cherished Christmas tale, blending tradition, nostalgia and the warmth of community music-making.
✨ We look forward to welcoming you to one of our magical showings and sharing the joy of The Snowman with you this Christmas.
